How I met Nathan Steed
I was told that it is super important to write these things down to have one day. I am terrible at journalling, so I figured I should do something. Like I said in my last post, there are no coincidences. Things are met to happen for a reason and there are people you are suppose to meet. I wanna be able to get both sides of the story, but for now this is just mine.
February 2017- I had just applied to the EFY program and had gotten an interview. After my interview, I had this feeling that I would just get it. So, I made plans accordingly. I was going to have to quit my job, but it's Provo you can always get another job. I was also dating a boy who told me I could pick him or EFY. Well I made the right call.
March-May 2017- hardest months I've had in a really really long time. Dated a few boy in-between this time but they were really all whatever. Met another boy that I started dating and got a new calling. I was called to be the Relief Society instructor. During the time I was getting set apart, the counselor said that this summer I would be put in certain places with certain people. That I would be in these places with these people so I could meet the right person to date. First thought was well guess me and my boyfriend are breaking up.
End of May 2017- decided that I hate men and I was not going to date any of them. Still went on a bunch of dates because who doesn't like free food and stuff to do.
June 17th- Got to Logan, Utah for EFY. I had been with the same group the entire time at EFY and they knew me really well. I also met the best 3 friends ever. We were pretty inseparable. Sometime during this week Nate and I met.
June 22nd- The first week of Logan is over and our whole session of counselors go to breakfast. A few of the counselors and I went to go get potato donuts because I can't have wheat and I needed donuts in my life. We got to breakfast late and got put in this exile table we called it. Nate shows up late too and sits right next to us. I didn't even really talk to him. We reintroduced ourselves to each other and exchanged Snapchats mostly because everyone else at the table did.
June 24th- I drive back up to Logan for my second session of EFY. I'm a lot more excited because my crew was going to be back up there again. We have the Martin's give us this amazing fireside. It was about how he thought he had met the right girl and gotten the answer that she was the one, but it never worked out. He then met his wife a little bit later and she was exactly what he needed. It occurred to me then that I needed o sop going after what I think I needed and let the Lord lead me to what I really needed. Break out in BC groups and come back in to get our co's. I see that I'm with Nate and I shouted out to Nate "Hey we're co's" I was super pumped because I actually knew him. There was another Nate so momentary confusion, but got it cleared up with my Nate to go plan our week.
That Night- Oh man I was so nervous. I thought he was super cute. Super cute. We planned really really fast and kind of got to know each other. We had a lot in common both being from Vegas, doing show choir etc. I also thought he was so funny. Everyone kept walking past us going yeah this is going to be great. Honestly we were so confused. That's how we met.
I think I am going to just keep posting these until we are caught up with where we are currently. I'm going to try to get Nate to do the same thing so we have both sides of the story.
