General Conference Miracles

This morning I got to go to the Sunday morning session of General Conference. I was able to go with two of mission friends, Sister Mantlo and Robinson, and it was the best. I have always loved going to General Conference. I have been able to go the last 3 sessions which is a complete blessing. While I was sitting there, I was thinking about how I have been able to hear almost all of the apostles speak in my lifetime and how rare that is. 

I was able to receive revelation or answers to my question that I had going into conference during the session. I especially enjoyed Christopher Waddell. He said " We have to have the faith to know that things don't work out we want it to...We can not control all that happens to us, but we do have control of how we respond." It was a huge answer to my prayer because I have been trying to figure out what the next step should be in my life. If I should move home or keep going to school in Provo. What he said really helped me realize that we do not have control of what is going on which is okay. I don't have to make sure that everything is controlled because life isn't. 

This led me to think about my mission. My mission did not go as planned and I had to come home a transfer early due to me hurting my ankle. I also ended up staying in an area for 7 1/2 months with the same companion. At the time it seemed to be like the end of the world, but I got a best friend and a lot of great member friends. At the end of the session, I turned around and one of my favorite families on my mission were sitting two rows behind me. It was the best surprise and made me realize that things really do work out. It always works out better then you think it will too.
